UGANDA CONSTRUCTION EXCELLENCE AWARDS

1. Introduction & Rationale

Uganda Construction Excellence Awards (UCEA) is an annual platform to honour excellence, sustainability, and responsible practices in the construction contracting sector. The UCEA encompasses several categories, cutting across various classes of works for contractors and trades for construction workers.

UCEA seeks to promote accountability, raise awareness, and inspire continuous improvement across Uganda’s construction industry by showcasing exemplary practices that set the benchmark for excellence.

2. Vision, Mission & Objectives

Vision: A construction sector recognized for excellence, innovation, and integrity.

Mission: To celebrate outstanding firms and individuals, promote responsible practices, and inspire industry-wide improvement.

Objectives:

• Recognize and reward high-performing projects, firms and professionals in the industry.
• Promote sustainable, safe and innovative practices that contribute to public confidence in the industry.
• Encourage innovation, inclusivity, and high ethical standards in construction practices across Uganda.
• Foster collaboration among key stakeholders.
